AGED FARMER DROPS DEAD.
Nels Lunde, of Bluffton Township, Dies While Talking to Relatives.
Nels, Lunde, of Bluffton township, uncle of Clarence and Albert Christen, dropped dead last Sunday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. Ole Thompson in Madison township, while talking with his relatives. Mr. Lunde lives just on the border of Madison township on a farm that is run by his youngest son. His wife was absent in North Dakota visiting her children, and becoming lonesome he went over to the home of his daughter to visit. He was sitting on the bed talking with his relatives when he suddenly stopped, his eyes began to roll and he fell over on the bed, expiring instantly. Of course the family were greatly shocked and help was summoned as soon as possible, but nothing could be done. We are unable at present writing to give the entire facts of his life and are obligated to omit the usual obituary. Mr. Lunde was a man well past sixty years of age and came to this country some twenty odd years ago, and has since resided in Winneshiek county. He was a painter by trade, but for the past few yaars has been living with his son on the farm. He has three daughters and twos sons in North Dakota, two sons and two daughters in this county. The funeral is being held this afternoon at the Madison church.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Madison Lutheran Cemetery shows he was born Jan. 30, 1836 and died June 16, 1913.
