Valentine Schaub, whose death occurred at his home at Kensett on April 14th, was born December 2, 1842, near Stratford, Canada. He was a brother of Jacob Schaub of Decorah and was a resident of Winneshiek county from 1865 to 1877, being engaged in farming. He then moved to Worth county, where he has since lived. He was married on March 7, 1865, to Caroline S. Sühring, a sister of Fred Sühring of this city, and is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. He is also survived by four sisters besides his brother who resieds{sic} here.
