Died After Short Illness.
At 6 o’clock Tuesday morning A. J. Transerud died at his home in the 5th ward (the Joel Dayton place) after a week’s illness from pneumonia. Mr. Transerud leased his farm and moved to Decorah the first of March. He had just become nicely settled when taken ill. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, who have the sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name spelled Traaserud. He was born Jan. 2, 1855 and died Apr. 16, 1912. He is buried in the North Washington Prairie Cemetery.
