Miss Lucinda Dean was born in Connecticut, June 17, 1842, and died June 2, 1811, aged 68 years, 11 months and 15 days. She was married to Peter McMartin in 1861. To this union were born five children, four of whom survive her, William H. of Nashville, Okla, Amos L. of Ellendale, N. D., Addie I. of Correctionville, Iowa, and U. R. McMartin of this place. Also two brothers and one sister are left to mourn, her husband and one daughter having died some years ago. About thirty years ago her she was converted and united with the Methodist church, and always lived a faithful Christian life. The beautiful floral offerings show in what esteem she was held. Her many friends mourn with the relatives. The children wish to publicly express their gratitude to those who so kindly helped in caring for their mother in her late sickness.
