Elnathan D. Erickson, 72, of Rochester, Minn., a retired X-ray technician, died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at his home.

A memorial service took place Thursday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Macken Colonial Chapel with Rev. Lester J. Horntvedt officiating.

The body has been cremated.

Elnathan D. Erickson was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Frankville. He grew up in Iowa and graduated from Decorah High School in 1949 and then served in the military during the Korean War. He graduated from X-ray technical school in St. Cloud and later moved to Rochester, where he was an X-ray technician at Olmstead Community Hospital until his retirement.

Survivors include four sons: Scott (Diana) Erickson of Bakersfield, Calif.; and Rick (Joyce) Erickson, Brad Erickson and Todd Erickson, all of Mazeppa; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; his mother, Evelyn Thomas of Decorah, two sisters: Jetty Larson of Decorah and Linda (Don) Houg of St. Olaf and a brother, Wayne Thomas of Decorah.

Elnathan D. Erickson was preceded in death by his father.
