Tom and Andrew Elliott came down from Monticello Saturday, called here by the death of their sister Mrs. Trouten.

Mrs. Wm. Trouten died at her home north of town last Friday afternoon after a long and painful illness of that dread disease, cancer. Mrs. Trouten was a patient sufferer and a woman who was respected and loved by all her neighbors and friends, whose sympathy goes out to the family in this bereavement. She leaves to mourn her loss four sons, two daughters, seven brothers and one sister. The funeral was held in the State Line Church Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the cemetery at the church.
