Wilbert J. H. Meyer was born October 17, 1906, and died August 10, 1910. Little Wilbert had been afflicted all his short life, but everything that could be done was done by his parents to afford relief When about a year old he was taken to Rochester and underwent a couple of operations. The funeral was held from the M. E. church of this place, Rev. Paulson, of Luana, pastor of the German Lutheran congregation here preaching the funeral sermon in the German language. The church was well filled with sympathizing friends and neighbors. The remains of the deceased were interred in the Lutheran cemetery in Postville.
