Death Claims Nonagenarian.
After an illness of only three days Mrs. H. Helseth died on Thursday last at the home of her son-in-law, Andrew Tofte, aged 92 years, 7 months and 12 days. Mrs. Helseth’s maiden name was Anna Peterson and she was born in Norway, where she was married to Martin Helseth in 1842. Eight children were born to them, two of whom are dead. In 1888 Mr. and Mrs. Helseth came to America, leaving three of their children in their native land, where they still reside. The children living in America are Mrs. Andrew Tofte, Mrs. W. T. Greuver of Portwing, Wis., and Peter Helseth who lives in Montana. The husband and father died about twenty-five years ago.
The funeral was held Monday morning at the Tofte home, Rev. I B. Torrison officiating, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery. Besides Mrs. Gruver, those from out of town who came to attend the funeral was Gunder Lervold and daughter, John Tofte and Miss Koppang, all of Ossian.
The relatives of the deceased desire to extend thanks to friends and neighbors for kindness shown them in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Nov. 12, 1817 and died June 23, 1910. She is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
