Died in Minneapolis.
Word came to Mrs. K. Thompson on Tuesday of the death at St. Mary’s hospital in Minneapolis of her son Theodore, after an illness from typhoid fever complicated with toxic poisoning. The deceased was a young man in the{sic} thirties and had been residing in Minneapolis only a few months. On account of the strict regulations of the Minnesota health department regarding the transportation of persons dying from typhoid, there is some doubt if the remains can be brought here for burial. Rev. O. E. Schmidt went to Minneapolis yesterday to see what could be done in this direction. The sympathy of a host of friends go out to Mrs. Thompson and her family in their bereavement.

Minneapolis is up against a grave situation. It is claimed that ten thousand cases of typhoid exist in the city, almost all due to the city water supply and hospitals are so crowded it is difficult to place the patients who really need hospital care.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born July 9, 1871 and died April 19, 1910. He is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
