OBITUARIES.
MRS. O. J. NESS.
On Thursday last about 3:30 o’clock Mrs. O. J. Ness passed away after an illness of a little over two hours, death being due to childbirth. Mrs. Ness became ill shortly after dinner and in spite of all that the attending physician and nurse could do death claimed her. The affliction—for such it is—is a heavy one to a family of five little girls and their father, who were bereft without the slightest warning. Mr. Ness at the time being in the country and the oldest daughter at school. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Anderson, her maiden name being Martha Anderson. She was born in Highland township and was thirty-seven years of age. She was married to Ole J. Ness about sixteen years ago and together they have spent a happy married life, the later years as residents of Decorah. The funeral was held Sunday , Rev. I. B Torrison officiating, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery. The most tender sympathy goes out to Mr. Ness and his family in their bereavement.
