The funeral services of Mrs. K. Salveson were held at the Lutheran church on the 8th. Just one week from this day Mrs. Salveson walked to town, a distance of about a mile, and carried a basket of eggs, was taken sick that evening, and the next day doctors were called, who pronounced her trouble cancer of the stomach and throat. She was taken to a hospital at LaCrosse, but it was too late and she died soon after reaching there. Though afflicted with cancer we are informed the real cause of death was diabetes. We are without particulars regarding her life.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Anne. She was born in 1857 and is buried in Hesper Lutheran Cemetery.
