DEATH’S HARVEST.
Six Residents of Decorah and Vicinity Pass Away during the Week.
Death has been busy again during the past week and six residents of Decorah and vicinity have been called to their reward.

After an illness of about two years Mrs. Henry Grant died on Saturday last, leaving to mourn her loss, her husband, one daughter and two sons. Mrs. Grant’s maiden name was Lucy Ann Adams and she was born at Watertown, N. Y. She was married on Aug. 12, 1875, to Rev. Henry Grant, to whom she has been a true and loving wife, and a real help in his ministerial work. Their early married life was spent at Delta, Colo., but their greater number of years together were spent in Iowa. It was during a pastorate of the local Baptist church several years ago that many here learned to know and appreciate the worth of the deceased, and these now join with the family in their sorrow. Of our children born to Rev. and Mrs. Grant the three survivors are their sons Edward and Sanford of Decorah and Mrs. Florence A. Doris of Helena, Mont., to whom she gave the wealth of a mother’s love.
Beside her devotion to her husband, family, and church, she found time to devote to helpful deeds to her neighbors and to participate in the activities of the Rebekah lodge, being a member of the Fredericksburg lodge.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home, Rev. W. W. Lemen officiating. The services at the cemetery were conducted by the Oneota Rebekah {illegible}.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Aug. 12, 1845, but that she died May{?} 12, 1910. According to the above her date of death was March 12, 1910. She is buried in Phelps Cemetery
