Death of Philip Kobriger.

Mr. Philip Kobriger died at his home in Ossian, Iowa, on Monday, October 11, 1909, death being due to heart trouble and asthma, from which the deceased was a sufferer for some time. He was born in Germany, January 8, 1833, and was therefore 76 years, 9 months and 3 days old when death claimed him. When quite young he came to America, settling first in Wisconsin, and in 1964 he came to Winneshiek county, setting in Festina, and later on a farm near Ossian. Some years ago he retired from the farm and moved to town where he resided until death removed him.
In October, 1853, in Germany, he married Miss Eva Susan Dallard, who survives him, to which union eleven children were born, all of whom are living, as follows: Mrs. Margaret Bennet, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Lawrence, Woonsocket, S. D.; Mrs. Barbara Allen, Decorah, Iowa; George, Mrs. John Kneeskern, Castalia, Iowa; Phillip, Mrs. Stewart Oxley, Mrs. Clarence Hawkins, Mrs. M. V. Harvey, Joseph and Frances, Ossian, Iowa.
