Mrs. Rhoda Dayton Dead.
Word came to Decorah relatives Tuesday of the death that day at her home in Preston, Minn., of Mrs. Rhoda Dayton, widow to Silas Dayton. Deceased was seventy-nine years old and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Ray of Lake Crystal and Miss Hattie Dayton who was her mother’s companion The remains will be brought to Decorah for interment, funeral services being held at the Dayton resident in the fifth ward to-morrow (Friday) afternoon at three o’clock.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born March 6, 1830 and died Oct. 5, 1909. She is buried in the Phelps Cemetery.
