Henry Moore was born in Lincolnshire, England, Oct. 12, 1820 , and passed away at Decorah, July 28, 1909, of dropsy. May 14, 1844, he was married to Jane Jackling and came to America the same year and to Frankville in 1859. Eight children were born to them, five of whom are living. After the death of his wife in May, 1895, he made his home with his son George at Chester, Iowa, and also in Missouri, and although he had a good home and everything was done to make pleasant his declining years he became homesick and returned to Frankville about four years ago and has since lived among his children and grandchildren. The funeral seryices{sic} were held at the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Zbitovsky, and he was laid to rest by the side of his wife in the village cemetery. Thus passes away a good man, one who will be kindly remembered by his friends. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the community.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Oct. 3, 1819 which disagrees with the above.
