Halvor O. Forde passed away at his home in Pleasant township Tuesday, July 20, and his remains were laid at rest in the Big Canoe cemetery on Friday. He was one of the pioneer settlers in these parts, being one of a band of three who first settled here, coming here in the early fifties. He was at the time of his death nearly 84 years of age. The cause of his death was pneumonia. He leaves to mourn his loss a faithful wife and seven sons and daughters, besides a host of friends.
