Died from Cancer.
Mrs. Olaf Tolstad died Tuesday morning at 1:30 o’clock after an illness of several months from cancer of the mouth. Her maiden name was Rachel Bye and she was the daughter of Mrs. Ida Bye of Jefferson street. She was married about sixteen years ago and is survived by her husband and a family of seven children. No definite arrangements for the funeral have been made.

Friends and relatives in this place were grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Olaf Tolstad Monday last at Decorah. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends here.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Sept. 24, 1868 and died May 11, 1909. It also shows her first name as Ragna. She is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
