Aged Women Pass Away.
Mrs. Kari Hamre, who was a resident of Washington Prairie for many years prior to moving to Decorah about a year ago, died Saturday last from cancer, at the home of her son. Mrs. Hamre was a native of Stavanger, Norway, where she was born on Nov. 24, 1834. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at one o’clock, Rev. O. E. Schmidt officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born in 1838 which does not agree with the above. It shows she is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
