Mrs. William Westgate, a former resident of Hesper, died at Lanesboro, Minn., on the 12th, and will be buried in the Hesper cemetery to-morrow. The funeral service will be att he{sic} Friends church. A more extended obituary will be given next week.

Lucie A. Rowe was born in Lenawee county Michigan Feb. 18, 1835, and died at Lanesboro, Minn., March 12, 1909. Dec. 28, 1854, she was united in marriage to Wm. Westgate, with whom she spent fifty two happy years. Five children were born to them, three of whom grey{sic} to womanhood. The husband and two daughters preceded her to the heavenly home, leaving one only to mourn the loss of a true and noble mother. The funeral service was held at the Friends church in Hesper on the 16th, Rev. H. C. Carter officiating. The day being one of the most inclement of the season, the attendance was small but the sincere sympathy of this whole community goes out to the one daughter who remains.
