Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Sellman were called to Greene, Butler county, Monday morning by a telegram announcing the death of Mrs. Brunner, a sister of Mrs. Sellman and Mrs. Geo. Brunner. The latter has been at Greene for three weeks.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Catherine who was born July 20, 1850 and died Jan. 31, 1909. She is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene, IA.

MRS. MICHAEL BRUNNER.
Mrs. Michael Brunner, mention of whose death at Greene was made last week, was born in Perth county ,Canada July 20, 1848(?). Her maiden name was Katherine Ruffridge. On September 11, 1866, she was married to Michael Brunner and a year later moved to Winneshiek county, Iowa. In 1876 they moved to Floyd county and in 1894 to Greene. Only a few years later, on the 2d day of August, in 1896, the Lord called her husband from her. The Greene Recorder, in making a record of her death, speaks of her as a woman of most estimable Christian character, active in all good works, and a devote mother. She is survived by nine children.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone shows her name spelled Catherine and that she was born in 1850.
