Keith Walsh, age 78, of Decorah, IA, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Bartell O.E.S Home in Decorah, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah, IA with Rev. Donald Hertges presiding. Burial will be in the Hesper Public Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday morning.

Keith Charles Walsh was born on November 2, 1943, the son of John and Amelia (Melcher) Walsh in Cresco, IA. He graduated from Cresco High School. Keith met Margo Noecker and they were married on June 17, 1967. Keith and Margo lived in Decorah all their marriage. They were devoted to each other. Keith farmed with his father for twenty – one years before working for Wicks Construction until his retirement in 2001. He loved to hunt and fish and took many trips out west hunting with his favorite mule. Keith had trained his mule to wait for Keith to put a coat over the barbed wire fences before the mule would jump across. He and Margo enjoyed taking small trips together. They were best friends and enjoyed over 50 years together.

Keith is survived by his brother: Dean (Julie) Walsh, Cresco, IA. Sisters-in-law: Jan Walsh, Cedar Rapids, IA; Suzanne (John) Matter, Decorah, IA and Bettie (Les) Fox, Oelwein, IA along with many nieces and nephews and his special friend: Marsha Nierling of Decorah.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Margo. Parents: John and Amelia (Noecker) Walsh. Brothers: Michael Walsh and Gary Walsh. Father and mother-in-law: Milo and Ida (Quandahl) Noecker. Brothers-in-law: Michael Noecker and Billie Noecker.
