Hans Lonningdahl was born Sept. 15, 1840, near Bergen, Norway, and passed away June 19, 1908, at his home three miles south of Highlandville, after an illness extending over several years from heart trouble. Mr. Lonningdahl came to this country at the age of twenty, coming direct to Pleasant township, and has resided here ever since, and has won a host of friends, numbering them his acquaintances. He was of an unassuming disposition, a thorough Christian, and a good neighbor. He was laid to rest in the Big Canoe cemetery, Rev. Seehus conducting the funeral services. He leaves to mourn his demise three brothers, his wife and four daughters.
