Last Saturday morning at 10 o’clock the funeral of Mrs. Pletka took place here in the St. Wenceslaus church. She died last Thursday at the home of her son at Calmar. Mr. Pletka and her husband, who preceded her in death about 30 years ago, were former residents here, and among the pioneer settlers. Of late, she has made her home with her son Frank in Calmar. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Jos. Stroble of Calmar and Mrs. Jos. Vitousek of this place, a son and a sister, Mrs. Koblishka, also of this place.
