Jennifer Gossman, age 44, passed unexpectedly on January 23, 2022 at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Decorah, IA. With Rev. Donald Hertges presiding.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah and also after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday morning.
Jennifer Gossman, was born May 29th, 1977 to Robin and Kimberly Gossman in Decorah, Iowa. She attended St. Benedict’s Catholic School, Decorah Junior High School, and Decorah High School. She was baptized and confirmed at St Benedicts as well. She achieved her associate’s degree from Hamilton College in Mason City, Iowa.
Jennifer was blessed with two daughters, Taylor and Alexis Houston. In 2003 she moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin. She worked as the office manager for a trucking company for 13 years. She eventually ended up working at her favorite store, Michael’s until she wound up coming down with Vertigo and in the end, Coronary Artery Disease which caused heart failure.
Jennifer was a kindhearted, family-oriented woman. She was once a part of a bowling league and she always enjoyed crafting of all sorts, especially scrapbooking. Lifetime movies were also one of her pastimes. However, her favorite thing to do was spending time with family, her grandsons most of all.
Jennifer is survived by two daughters: Taylor (Luis) and Alexis Houston. Her mother and father: Kimberly and Robin Gossman. Two siblings: Jamie (Tim) Esler and Joshua Gossman. Grandpa: Wayne Gossman. Two grandsons: Theodore and Arthur Gossman. Two nephews: Dominic Mueller and Tristin Gossman. One niece: Haley Gossman. Three uncles: Mike (Melinda) Kubik, Steve (Penni) Kubik and Tony (Diane) Gossman. Four aunts: Paula Sheevers, Karla (Todd) Farland, Suzy Sutton and Kelly (Jim) Shedelbower. Along with many cousins.
Jennifer was preceded in death by two grandmas: Vivienne Gossman and Arla Kubik. Grandpa: Walter Kubik. Two uncles: Terrance Kubik and Dave Sutton. One cousin: Mickey Thompson. Along with other friends and family.
