Mrs. Jacob Hohenshelt died at the home of Geo. Sturch at Fayette, July 22, 1906, and her remains were brought to Castalia for interment Tuesday, July 24th. Louise P. Havenstrite was born in Philadelphia, Pa., July 24, 1826. At the age of 15 she moved with her parents to Luzerne Co., Pa., and in 1867 she came to Fayette county, Iowa. She was married to Jacob Hohenshelt on September 17, 1885. Three years ago she moved from her home in Castalie and made her home with her niece Mrs. Sturch. Although a member of a family of nine children she is survived by but one brother, J. P. Havenstrite, of Crescent City, Okla. She was a Christian from her childhood and was a kind friend and neighbor. The funeral was held in the U. B. church, Rev. Montgomery conducting the services.
