Mr. Michael Cavanaugh, a well known and respected citizen of this community, died at his home Saturday evening. His death was a great blow to his many friends as the sickness was of short duration. The funeral services took place Tuesday morning at the St Francis de Sales Catholic church at 10:30 a. m., Rev. Lechtenberg officiating. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six children, all of whom were present at the funeral. Many relatives and friends from far and near were also present.

Miss Nellie Cavanaugh of Clermont came Sunday to attend the funeral of her brother Mr. Cavanaugh, which took pace Tuesday.

Transcriber’s Note: There is a Michael Cavanaugh buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery but it shows his year of death as 1900 – this could just be the inability to read the year on the gravestone. It shows he was born January 14, 1852.
