Wilson Hubbell was born in the state of Vermont August 23, 1813, and died in Hesper, Iowa, March 30, 1906. He was married to Mary A. Wilson in 1835 and to them were born five daughters and four sons. Three of the sons remain to mourn their loss. In 1847 Mr. and Mrs. Hubbell moved to the state of New York, where they lived until they came to Hesper in 1866 and here they called it home until they passed to the home over there. The funeral services were held at the Friends church on the 1st, Rev. A. A. Hallett, assisted by Rev. H. C. Carter, officiating.
