Daniel Bush died at his residence here Saturday night, Feb. 10th, at the advanced age of over 83 years. He was one of the early settlers in Bloomfield township. He formerly owned a farm south of here, but several years ago sold it to his son and moved to town. He was a man possessed of wonderful vitality for one of his age and was always very industrious. He died from the effects of pneumonia and was sick but a few days. Daniel Bush was born in St. Johns, Canada, Nov. 1st, 1822. He married Margarite Gordon Jan. 1st, 1850, who died Dec. 27, 1888. To them was born six children--three sons and three daughters. The oldest daughter, Mrs. O. E. Dean, died Dec. 23, 1892. He was married to Juliette Waugh April 28, 1891, who with his five remaining children survive the husband and father. He united with the United Brethren church Feb. 13, 1898, just eight years to the day of his funeral. The funeral occurred from the U. B. church at 11 a.m. to-day (Tuesday.) Rev. Montgomery officiating. The body was interred in the Bloomfield cemetery.
