MORTALITY AT CALMAR.
The Courier of Last Week Reports These Three Deaths of Pioneer Mothers.

SKOR.

Marit Anderson Skor died at the Skor home in this city Monday morning at 4 o’clock. Marit Anderson was born in Nordre Aurdahl, Valders, Norway, on June 24, 1814, and in 1836 was married to Ole T. Skor, and in 1870 they came to America. Of this union five children were born, of whom but one, Mrs. M. Severson survives. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery Tuesday.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Calmar Lutheran Cemetery shows the name spelled Skaar and the year of her birth as 1815.
