Eidenschink, Jerome B 1917 - 1973

EIDENSCHINK, IVERSON, JENSEN, RICHARDON, BARTA, RUDE

Jerome B. Eidenschink, 55, of Cresco and formerly of Decorah died February 26 in Minneapolis, Minn. Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedicts Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Father A.P. White conducted final rites, and music was provided by Alan Sensor, organist, and Marlin Fretheim, soloist.

Pallbearers for Mr. Eidenschink were James Wilkens, Willard Jones, Leon Johnsrud, Frank Jackson, Glen Clark and Wayne Rice.

Prayer service was held Wednesday evening at Steine Funeral Home where funeral arrangements were made.

Mr. Eidenschink owned and operated his own trucking service. A native of Detroit Lakes, Minn., he had lived in Decorah and for the past 20 years in Cresco.

He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Iverson; three sons, Roger Eidenschink of El Centro, Calif., Charles Eidenschink of Peterson, Minn, and Robert Eidenschink of Plainview, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers,Matt Eidenschink and George Brandt, both of Decorah, and four sisters, Mrs. Harold Jensen of Decorah, Mrs. Russell Richardon of Canton, Minn., Mrs. Daniel Barta of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Roger Rude of Decorah.

Mr. Eidenschink was born June 29, 1917, the son of Joseph and Mary Eidenschink, both of whom are deceased. He attended school in Detroit Lakes and was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. He was married June 17, 1940
