Funeral services for Roy Sanderson were held Tuesday, June 4 at the First Lutheran Church in Cresco, with the Rev. Gary Lee officiating. Burial was in the Sanderson Cemetery near Ridgeway with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Sanderson died June 2 at the Hyberger Nursing Home.
Roy Sanderson was born September 3, 1893 at Ridgeway, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole and Lena Johnson Sanderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife the former Mamie Weakland.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Annette Vestre of Saskatchwan, Canada, Mrs. Fred (Ethel) Koch of Decorah, Mrs. Hubert (Thelma) Luhman of Postville and Mrs. Sara LaVelle of Waterloo and two brothers Fred of Waukon and Alton of Ridgeway. Other survivors are several nieces and nephews.
