OBITITARY.
JOHN HENRY was born in the state of New York, June 14th, 1823, and died at his home in Canoe township, Dec. 12th, aged 72 years, 5 months and 18 days. The deceased was married in 1848 to Miss Jane Bowman. In 1854 he moved with his family to Winnesheik Co., where he has since resided. He leaves behind a widow, two daughters and one son to mourn their loss. Mr. Henry was a kind father and a respected citizen. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Hilburn, of the Burr Oak M. E. church and was largely attended.

Transcriber's Note: Burr Oak Cemetery records shows he was born in 1824 which doesn't agree with the above - the gravestone photo isn't very clear.
