Word was received, last week, of the death, at Minneapolis on the 4th, of Silas Moffit, one of Hesper’s pioneers and for many years one of her most respected citizens. It is needless to say that the bereaved wife has the sincere sympathy of all the friends of former days.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Moffitt and that he was born in 1832 and is buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
