DIED.

NATHAN GEORGE was born in Monongalia Co., W. Va„ in 1811, and died at Castalia, Ia., Feb. 16th, 1895, at the age of 84 years and 21 days. At the age of six years he moved with his parents to Ohio where he resided until he was a young man. He was married in Lorain Co., Ohio, at the age of 23 years. He was the father of nine children, seven of whom are still living. In 1856 they moved to Iowa, where he resided ever since. He has always seen clear in his convictions of right, and a fearless defender of every good course, both politically and from a religious standpoint. He was a man of great influence, greatly beloved by all who knew him. His loss will be felt for years to come in this community, but most of all in the church. He was converted in early life and has been for years an active member of the M. E. church. He has been an official member for over 25 years, and did all he could for the church. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held in Castalia, Feb. 19th, the crowded house and eyes red with weeping being evidences of the keen appreciation of the loss to the community, Services were conducted by Rev O. W. Rose, assisted by Rev. Sullivan, of the U. B. church, and Rev. C. T. Blake, of Fayette.
