OBITUARY.
Miss LUANA PLATO died at the residence of her brother, P. C. Plato, on the Portman farm, on Thursday, the 7th inst. She was born in Genesee Co., N. Y., Sept. 3, 1808, and had therefore attained the venerable age 86 of years, 5 months and 4 days. In 1850 who came to Wisconsin, and in 1861 followed her brother to Iowa. For many years she pursued the occupation of nurse, and thereby became widely known in the families of Decorah. A fall some five years ago that disabled her hip, broke her health, and since then she has declined, dying at last more of old age than of any organic disease. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church, (of which she had been a member many years) on Sunday last.
