Patrick Rooney, an old resident of Calmar, died here on the 8th inst. The funeral services took place at the Catholic church on the 10th inst. Rev. Father Norris with two assistent priests officiating. Mr. Rooney had been sick and helpless for many years and was also about 12 years totally blind. Deceased leaves only a widow, who for all these years of sickness faithfully nursed and cared for him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1831 and is buried in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
