THOMPSON—At the home of her parents in Conover, Monday, Oct. 12th, from diptheria, Beatrice L. Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Thompson, aged 8 years, 8 months.
The child was a grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Pease, of this city, and the circum-stances were particularly sad. She was taken ill Sunday, Oct. 11th, shortly after dinner and appearently{sp} was not very ill during Monday but in the evening the disease developed rapidly and death claimed her at nine o'clock. The family is to be pitied in their affliction, as their two remaining children are both stricken with the
disease.
