MARTIN P. RULLAND.
Mr. Martin P. Rulland, father of Mrs. Oline Brorby, of West Decorah, died on Saturday morning last after a long illness in his 73 year. Mr. Rulland was born in Norway in 1824 and came to America in 1853, settling in Coon Valley, Wis. In 1866 he moved to Postville where he lived for a number of years, but the last years of his life were spent in Decorah at the home of his daughter. During the war he served in Co. A, of the 16th Wisconsin Infantry. The funeral services were hold Monday afternoon last from the United Lutheran church, Rev. A. L. Huus officiating.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows he was born March 16, 1824 and died June 27, 1896. He is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
