Patricia Fitch, age 82, of Decorah, IA, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, IA.

A private family funeral service will be held at Big Canoe Lutheran Church with Rev. Kurt Bockoven presiding. Burial will be in the Big Canoe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Winneshiek County Home Health and Hospice, 901 Montgomery St., Decorah, IA 52101

Patricia Marlene (Blegen) Fitch was born on January 25, 1938 the daughter of Nathan Blegen and Mildred Tweet of Decorah, IA. Pat graduated from Decorah High School in 1957. She worked as a social worker for Winneshiek County before working at Rockwell Collins, Watlow and eventually working for and retiring from CamCar Textron in Decorah. Pat married David Fitch on November 23, 1977. She enjoyed traveling, camping and canoeing. She loved to paint and spend time with her family. Pat had four children from previous marriages and three step-children.

Pat is survived by her children: Kevin (Dana) Pfister, West Liberty, IA; Lorie Stransky, Riverside, IA; Jacqueline (John) Schick, Dover, MN and Patricia Berg-Fitch, Decorah, IA. Step-children: Joni (Jeff) Payne, Maitland, FL; Kim (Steve) Donaldson, Orange City, FL and Lori Berg, Winter Park, FL. Grandchildren: Jeremy (Megan) Dotson; Jake (Lacey) Stransky, Tim Stransky; Heather (Seth) Arends, Becca (Riley) O’Neill; Ryan Berg, Brandyn Wagner, Seth Wagner and Neil (Ricky) Payne. Great grandchildren: Jacob and Jenna Dotson; Abbi, Carsen, Emmy, Beau and Layla Stransky; Karter and Shay Arends; Bannon, Reagan and Clary O’Neill. Brother: Edward (Deanna) Blegen, Warsaw, MO. Brother-in-law: William (Elaine) Fitch, Dubuque, IA. along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Nathan (Leone) Blegen and Mildred (Robert) Broderick. Father-in-law: Norman Fitch. Mother and Step-father-in-law: Esther (Brovold) and Emmons Moen. Sister-in-law: Georgene Fitch.

The family would like to give special thanks to Douglas Blegen, Charlene Kriener and Raymond Koshatka for all they have done for mom over the years, it is greatly appreciated.
