Fatality at Canton.
Sunday last LaRue Lamb, youngest son of J. G. Lamb, of Canton, was killed by the accidental discharge of his gun while on a hunting expedition. He and two companions went out for rabbits and after shooting several times climbed back into their rig. They were in the act of tucking the robes around them when Lamb’s gun was discharged and the side of his face and head badly mangled. Death was instantaneous. It is supposed that Lamb neglected to lower the trigger on his gun before getting into the rig or that while wrapping the robes around him the trigger was accidentally snapped. The boy has handled fire arms for several years and had been cautioned repeatedly about being careful with them. The deceased was a brother of Joe Lamb of Decorah. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Lamm. He was born in 1881 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Canton, MN.
