Died in Oregon.
The following brief notice from the Salen{sic}, (Ore.) Journal will bring its bit of sorrow to many old Hesper friends of Jonathan Pike:
PIKE—At the family home, corner of Mill and 20th streets, at 6 a. m., Sunday, Feb. 7, 1897, J. E. Pike, aged 82 years.
Deceased leaves a wife and three children, viz: L. A. Pike, of Portland; Frank A. and Cora A. Pike of Salem. Funeral services were conducted from the late residence on Monday by Revs. Beauchamp and H. A. Denton.
