The Passing of an Old Settler.
Ole Evenson Hann, one of the oldest residents of Glenwood township and Winnesheik county, died last week Wednesday, Nov. 16th, and was buried on Friday last in the Washington Prairie church yard, in Glenwood township. Mr. Evenson was born in Norway in 1813, and came to America in 1849. It is not known just when he came to Winnesheik county, but he first owned a farm and lived in Springfield township. This he sold and purchased land in Glenwood township in 1865, where he has since resided. He leaves a widow, two sons and three daughters, who mourn the loss of a dear father.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows an Ole Evenson who died on this same date but shows he was born Oct. 1, 1814. I assume this is the same person. He is buried in North Washington Prairie Cemetery.
