Joseph Henry, age 72, of Decorah, IA, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.

A private family service will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial in the St. Benedict Cemetery.

Joseph is survived by his wife Marian. Children: Michael Henry, Decorah, IA; Craig (Tricia) Henry, Canton, MN and Steven (Jennifer) Henry, Decorah, IA. Grandchildren: Anthony (Vanessa) Henry, Danielle (Mitchell) Steffens, Logan (fiancé, Kayla Phillips) Henry, Mason (Abby) Henry, Blake (friend, Maddy Michaels) Henry, Kollin Henry and Garrett Henry. Great grandchildren: Jaylee and Ryker Henry; Bentley and Addison Steffens; Nora Henry. Sisters: Sue (Bill) Gerard, Davenport, IA and Martha (Larry) Martinson, Decorah, IA. Mother-in-law: Marie Balk, Decorah, IA. Brother and sisters-in-law: Ronald (Mary Lou) Balk, Decorah, IA; Virginia (Larry) Gehling, Calmar, IA and Diane (Dennis) Baker, Calmar, IA along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Mary (Cronin) Henry. Brother: Noel Henry. Father-in-law: Anthony Balk. Brother-in-law: Alan Balk.
