Mrs. John Tillapaugh, of Canoe, received sad news from Sheldon, Minn., Wednesday, Aug. 17th, stating that her father, Mr. James Sweet, was dead. We extend our sympathy to the friends and relatives in their sad bereavement. Mr. Sweet was a highly respected old gentleman and will long be remembered by his music on the violin.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born April 4, 1842 and is buried in the Sheldon Cemetery.
