Another Pioneer Passes Away.
Ossian Bee:—Bernard Sudelgte died at his home near Festina, Sunday, July 31, at the age of 74 years. Deceased came to this country from Germany in 1854, and two years later settled on the farm where he died. He leaves a widow and six children, Henry B., of Dubuque: August and Theo., of Remsen; Fred, who lives at home; Mrs. Annie Liebald, of Fort Atkinson, and Mrs. Katie Dieperding, of Alden, to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. The funeral was held Wednesday forenoon at the Catholic church in Festina.

Transcriber’s Note: The St. Mary’s Cemetery shows his name spelled Sudtelgte and that he was born Feb. 25, 1825.
