—Peter Aasen died at his home three miles southwest of this city last Saturday morning from consumption. His wife and three children survive him. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Rev. H. G. Stub officiating, and the remains were buried in the Haugen cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Union Prairie Cemetery shows he was born Dec. 13, 1853 and died July 23, 1898.
