Death of W. S. Hooper.
A letter received at this office from White Lake, S. Dak., reports to us the death of Mr. William S. Hoopor, a resident of Frankville township from 1859 to 1882. Death resulted from heart failure, on the 7th instant at the residence of his son-in-law, Dr. G. A. Rogers, aged 77 years.
Mr. Hooper was born in England, and came to this country in 1855, locating first at West Union, and removing to this county four years later. Five children survive him, viz:—W. H., of Aromas, Cal., Mrs. N. E. Wells, North McGregor, Mrs. G. A. Rogers, White Lake, G. F., of Klondike, and C. W., of Minocqua, Wis.Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows he was born Aug. 8, 1822 and that he is buried in the White Lake Cemetery in White Lake, SD.
