Death of Henry Wingate.
By telephone from Burr Oak, and Mr. John Wingate, we learn of the death of Mr. Henry Wingate at 11 p. m. last night, He was taken worse on Tuesday, and in anticipation of this event absent members of his family were telegraphed for. A good man has gone. A fuller obituary is necessarily deferred a week.

OBITUARY.
MR. HENRY WlNGATE died at his home one mile east of Burr Oak village, Wednesday, Feb. 16th, at 11 p.m. His death resulted from a paralytic stroke a few weeks ago from which there was an improvement until Tuesday the l5th. Then a change for the worse came and he failed rapidly to the end.
Mr. Wingate was born in Heminsford, Quebec, July 26th, 1833, and was united in marriage with Miss Charity Willsie in 1856. In the spring of 1859 they came to Iowa and located where they have lived ever since. Truly it can he said of him to know him was to respect and trust him. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son, viz: W. P. Wingate of Kansas City, Mrs. Geo. P. Bent of Chicago, and Misses Elsie and Julia.
Mr. Wingate was a man of strict integrity, an honorable citizen, a progressive farmer, and one who will be missed by the entire community. The funeral was held from the Methodist Church in Burr Oak on Saturday, the 19th, Rev. J. Hilburn, officiating.
