Mrs. W. N. Gilmore, of Mabel, was stricken with paralysis on Jan. 20th, and passed away on the 1st inst. The burial took place in the Hesper cemetery on the 4th. Mrs. Gilmore was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willian Van Dorn, who were among the early settlers of Fillmore county. She had many warm friends in Hesper who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Lucy who was born Feb. 5, 1852 and is buried in the Hesper Public Cemetery.
