Elizabeth Clark was born in Kentucky, April 25th, 1813, and died at Hesper, Iowa, January 1st, 1898, aged nearly 85 years. She was married Jan. 18th, 1832, at Beardstown, Ill., to Aaron Street, who died Oct. 15th, 1871. They moved to Salem, Iowa, about the year 1835, and to Winnesheik county in 1854. To them were born twelve children, six of whom are still living, two daughters and four sons. Mrs. Street was a member of the Friends’ church and her earnest, consistent life has always been a benediction to all with whom she has come in contact.
